I Suffer from a Lack of Empathy.

A strange disconnection where everything connects, yet nothing carries. Perhaps this is the most honest curse of our century. Facing a burning world, we feign numbness, place our trust in vanity, and offer each other the irresponsible consolation that "we will be fine." What truly remains in the void where empathy has evaporated?
